The sky with Adam Wiernasz
We offer astronomy observing nights led by Adam Wiernasz — a member of PTMA Wrocław who popularizes astronomy and runs sky shows. Sessions use a 6" Newtonian telescope: planets, the Moon, and selected deep-sky objects depending on season and weather. Adam pairs a passion for nature with astronomy and the ALPS (AllSky Light Pollution Survey) project. The Barycz Valley often offers darker skies than the city — and a calm setting where you can hear both dusk birds and the quiet before the stars.
From our sky nights
How a show works
We meet at an agreed place around dusk. We start with a short introduction: what is visible tonight, how the telescope works, how to protect your eyes and keep the dark sky dark. Then everyone gets time at the eyepiece — for children and adults. The date depends on weather and the Moon phase; we arrange it together in advance.
Who it is for
For families, small groups of friends, schools, and anyone curious about the sky — no prior astronomy knowledge needed. Bring warm clothes, patience, and a willingness to look up.
Weather, visibility, and rescheduling
Observations require safe conditions and a sufficiently clear sky. Cloud, fog, precipitation, strong wind, equipment failure, or other circumstances beyond our control may require a programme change, rescheduling, or cancellation. We will offer a new date; if it is unsuitable, we will issue a full refund. Weather and changing sky conditions mean that no particular astronomical object can be guaranteed.
Book a date
Book a date online or contact us — we will tailor the offer to your group and the season.
