About us

What is Bird Valley
Bird Valley is a broad project whose overarching goal is nature education and showcasing the beauty and uniqueness of the Barycz Valley. We began in 2025 with bedtime stories for children and are now developing research projects, field meetings, talks, and publications. Bird Valley's community work is carried out by the officially registered Bird Valley Association, bringing together knowledge, creativity, and responsibility for nature.
Who are we?

Adam
He was born and raised in the heart of the Barycz Valley, in Milicz. Childhood meant regular walks to the nearby forest, the Polish primitive horse reserve, and Maltzahn Park, where nature flourished in an almost wild, primeval form. He has practiced nature photography continuously since 2005, though he caught the photography bug as a ten-year-old on family forest walks with an analog SLR. He is fascinated by interdisciplinary ecology of whole natural ecosystems, their succession, and the impact of human pressure on them. A nature, astronomy, and science outreach enthusiast. Co-creator of the ALPS (AllSky Light Pollution Survey) research project and many citizen-science projects on iNaturalist.

She has an excellent eye and aesthetic sense in nature photography. She has been photographing nature since 2005. Determined to make early-morning photo trips that require getting up before dawn. Author of countless artistic projects. Always full of ideas and energy to bring them to life. She spots potential where it sleeps and knows how to bring it out masterfully.
