Picture this moment. Your backpack is beside you, your shoes are off for a while, and you slowly settle into a hammock. There is still a little adjusting to do: finding a comfortable position for your shoulders, deciding where to put your phone. Then, after a moment, all that remains is a gentle sway.
Above you, the branches move. Somewhere nearby, a bird calls — perhaps the one we were trying to spot on our walk just a little earlier. Sunlight warms your face, then disappears behind the leaves. You can close your eyes. You can gaze upwards. You can say something to the person resting beside you, or simply share the quiet.
These are the moments we want to make more room for at Ptasia Dolina.

We are introducing forest walks that combine nature discovery with time to relax in a hammock. They bring together the things that have mattered to us from the beginning: exploring together, paying attention to the world around us, and sharing the pleasure of a discovery. This time, our outings will also include a generous stretch of hammock time, with room for it in the plan from the very start.
A Walk with Time to Discover

We come to the forest for all sorts of reasons. Sometimes we need to move, sometimes we want to talk, and sometimes we simply feel like getting out of the house for a while. On our walks, we also invite you to be curious: to see the path ahead as a place full of small stories.
A pine cone torn apart might leave us wondering who has been feeding there. A hole in a tree trunk might hold our attention a little longer. Movement high in the canopy might have the whole group looking up. These things are easy to walk past, especially when we are chatting, watching our footing, or already thinking about the next thing on our schedule.
As we explore together, we will look for birds, listen to the sounds of the forest, and take a closer look at whatever we encounter along the way. We will share what we know, help you notice the less obvious details, and do our best to answer the questions that arise. Nature will give us plenty to talk about.
You do not need any preparation or knowledge of species names. Bring a question you have been wondering about for years. Or let a bird hopping from branch to branch catch your interest for the very first time. We love that moment when “something moving over there” becomes a chance to watch an animal closely.
Every walk will be a little different. The season, the weather, and the activity of the wildlife all influence what we might see. That variety is part of the pleasure of being outdoors: even a familiar path can lead to a new discovery.
Discover the Wooded Side of the Barycz Valley

For many people, the Barycz Valley brings to mind ponds, waterbirds, and paths along embankments crossing wide, open landscapes. It is a side of the region we love to share. This time, we are also inviting you to discover it from among the trees.
Beneath the canopy, different details draw our attention. Light falling across a trunk, a rustle in the undergrowth, the scent of the forest floor. The views may be less expansive, but there is plenty happening close by to make us pause.
It is worth spending a little longer looking at one small corner of the forest. Notice the different textures of the bark. Follow the winding route of a climbing plant with your eyes. Listen to a sound and try to work out where it is coming from. Small observations like these can spark an interest that you take with you on your own walks.
That is the curiosity we hope will stay with you. So that, once you are home, the nearby park or the trees along your everyday route begin to catch your attention too.
Time to Hang the Hammocks and Stay a Little Longer

After our walk, it is time for the next part of the outing: preparing a place to rest and hanging the hammocks.
For some, this will be a familiar pleasure. For others, it will be a first chance to try relaxing this way. We will show you how to use the equipment we have set up and help you get comfortable. There will be time to get used to the gentle rocking, adjust your position, and discover what feels best for you.
We set aside an hour or more for relaxing in the hammocks. This is an important part of the whole experience. There is time to settle in, let yourself be still, and stay for a while in a place where you feel at ease.
A hammock gives you a different view of the forest. Your gaze naturally wanders towards the canopy, where small patches of sky appear between the branches. You notice the movement of leaves, the changing light, perhaps a bird flying past. The forest we were walking through just moments ago becomes a place to settle into, with time to let our eyes wander.
Everyone can enjoy this part of the outing in their own way. Some will watch their surroundings, some will close their eyes, and others will talk quietly. Or you can simply give in to the gentle sway and discover how pleasant it feels to stay in one place for a while.
Room to Unwind at Your Own Pace

In everyday life, it is easy to get used to filling every spare hour. Even an enjoyable day out can come with a busy schedule: the journey, an attraction, a photograph, the next stop. Then we arrive home feeling as though we have spent the whole time on the move.
On our forest outings, time to rest is part of the plan. All you need to do is get comfortable and decide what you feel like doing in that moment.
Perhaps, at first, you will instinctively reach for your phone. Perhaps you will remember something you need to do when you get home. That is perfectly ordinary too. You can take a photograph, put your phone down, and look up again. You can bring your attention back to a moving branch or a sound that has just caught your ear.
The forest offers plenty of little things to notice. A cooler breath of air. Sunlight moving across the fabric of your hammock. A leaf falling beside you. We stay in one place, while small changes continue all around us.
There is plenty of freedom in this part of the outing. For us, being able to spend time in nature without constantly having to fill it with something is a pleasure in itself. It is a pleasure we would love to share with you.
Time Together in the Forest

A walk like this can be a lovely way to spend time as a couple, meet up with friends, or enjoy an outing on your own. Each brings a slightly different feeling to the forest.
As a couple, you might talk for part of the walk, then pause together to look at something that has caught your attention. With friends, you can share a discovery and point out the place where you spotted it. Coming on your own gives you room to follow your curiosity and join in when we stop to watch something together.
The hammocks add an easy, relaxed feel to the experience. Once everyone has found a comfortable position, there is time to chat a little more, return to something we saw on the walk, or let the conversation naturally fall quiet.
Sometimes it is these simple moments that stay with us longest: someone laughing as they first settle into a hammock, a bird we all spot overhead, a warm patch of sunlight on a face.
Try Triplander Hammocks in the Forest

An important partner is joining us for this new experience: Triplander. Thanks to this collaboration, you will be able to try high-quality hammocks during our walks, in the setting where their appeal is easiest to appreciate — between the trees.
It is an ideal opportunity if you have mostly admired hammocks in photographs, or wondered whether this kind of relaxation would suit you. An hour or more gives you time to get comfortable, change position, and find out how you feel as you gently sway.
You can also take a closer look at the equipment, ask questions about using it, and consider whether you would like to bring a hammock on your own trips. Perhaps it would be a welcome addition to your weekend adventures. Perhaps it would become your favourite place to relax in the garden.
You will also have the option to buy a hammock after the walk. If you discover that this is your kind of relaxation, we can help you understand how to choose a hammock that suits you, so you can enjoy it on your own outings too.
We are delighted to be working together in this way. Triplander hammocks will be part of our guests’ experience: a walk, time among the trees, and a longer moment of rest. There will be time to try them for yourself.
The Autumn Forest and the Pleasure of Pausing

We are introducing this new experience in autumn, when the forest is an especially inviting place to notice change. The leaves gradually turn, the rustling carpet beneath our feet grows thicker, and the cooler air makes the warmth of a sunny spot all the more welcome.
It is a beautiful season for a gentle walk and an eye for detail. You can return to the same area and find a slightly different landscape each time. The light changes, the branches lose their leaves, and new views open up between the trees.
When planning time to rest, it is also worth remembering that you will feel cooler once you stop walking. An extra warm layer will help you stay comfortable in your hammock. We will talk through what to bring when we arrange your outing, taking the weather into account.
The idea of a forest walk with a longer pause gives us every reason to return and get to know the woodland through its changing seasons. Each brings its own light, sounds, and small happenings.
How to Join Us

If you would like to come along, take a look at the new experience on the Ptasia Dolina website and get in touch. Together, we will arrange a date and discuss the details, including the duration and price.
Tell us who you are planning to come with and what matters most to you: discovering nature, enjoying some quiet time together, trying a hammock for the first time, or a little of everything. That will help us plan an outing around what you would most like to experience.
Comfortable shoes, clothing suited to the weather, and that extra warm layer for resting are all worth bringing. The rest begins with a willingness to spend a little time looking more closely at the world around you.
We will be happy to share whatever we discover along the way. We will pause at an intriguing sound, look between the branches, and try to spot the creatures that live there. Then we will hang the hammocks and stay in the forest a little longer.
Perhaps, as you lie back comfortably and gaze up into the canopy, you will find yourself wanting to spend your next free afternoon just like this.
Join us at Ptasia Dolina for a forest walk and time to unwind in a hammock.
Warm wishes, Agnieszka and Adam
